Meet the Young Patients Committee!

Welcome to the YPC Blog! We wanted to create a space for communication with all young patients in a more casual setting. We’re going to treat this space as a “Ask Abby” style blog – so feel free to submit any of your questions to us via email 🙂 You can email us here: [email protected].

Before we jump in, we’d like to officially introduce ourselves: we’re the five current members of the committee and we’re excited to dive into the blog world with you! We’ve mentioned our diagnosis below but also wanted to give you a peek into our brains with the answers to a few questions!

Kenzie, Co-Chair

Diagnosis: Bilateral trigeminal neuralgia, right side only glossopharyngeal neuralgia and geniculate neuralgia

“What’s something that motivates you?”

Seeing people thrive in their own life and put themself first makes me so happy. I’m a big believer in putting yourself first so that you can help others!

“If you could have a fictional animal as a pet, what would you choose?”

I think I’d have to go with… a griffin. Because they can fly and also I think they’d be pretty similar to a giant dog.

Lindsey, Co-Chair

Seeing people thrive with facial pain motivates me to continue supporting and advocating for those with facial pain

“What’s the craziest food combo that you enjoy?”
